A little bit about me ...

Hi, I'm Karen owner of Essence Photography, Mummy to Tori & Lexie & wife and general torturer of Ryan or poor Ryan as he's affectionately referred to by my Mother (lol!!!) & Ryan came along a few years ago as a package with his two bonus's Emily & Jessica, making us the picture of modern family set ups.

When I say I love my job I'm not exaggerating in the slightest, yes the hours are long in the background with editing etc, but the wedding day itself I just adore!!!! How lucky am I that every day at work is always someone's best day, and everyday is different & meeting new amazing families.

I was very lucky this year to receive Country Down wedding photographer of the year award at the Northern Ireland Wedding Awards, it was already a delight to hit Belfast mid week with bubbles flowing but to come home with the award was just the icing on the cake...
